I'm Ryan Winkler — a Senior Product Manager based in Dublin, Ireland. Originally from Madison, Wisconsin. I build products that make complex work simple and measurable across platforms, workflows, and customer-facing experiences.
What I Build
My work spans AI systems, customer experience platforms, trust and safety, and incident management. I'm particularly effective in environments where ambiguity is high, the customer signal is noisy, and the product needs to hold up under real-world use.
Recent work includes AI features and trust surfaces that need to hold up in real use — not just in demos. I treat customer conversations, incidents, edge cases, documentation gaps, and operational data as inputs into product decisions, not noise to be filtered out.
Background
Before going independent, I spent time at Zendesk building trust, transparency, and compliance surfaces. I also worked hands-on with Intercom Fin in a live environment, reviewing real conversations, tuning escalation paths, tagging edge cases, and setting quality thresholds.
I founded Ryan Winkler Strategy Limited in 2025 — a computer consultancy registered in Ireland focused on product strategy and AI systems consulting.
How I Think

- Knowledge as a product surface — Documentation, runbooks, and internal knowledge are built and maintained as part of the product.
- Domain-driven thinking — Ownership boundaries, language, and workflows reflect how systems actually behave in production.
